Melchioni updates its IT infrastructure

The complex and articulated project, carried out in a rapid period of time, allows Melchioni to equip itself with a new infrastructure in step with the times and in perfect harmony with two strategic developments: expansion abroad and digitalisation.

In detail, the activities carried out are as follows:

• Migration from old on-premise mailbox servers to Microsoft’s new online exchange systems involved all offices and more than 300 personal and team/service mailboxes
• The activation of advanced and technologically advanced security protocols.
• The implementation of work tools for more dynamic and smart activities (see Teams, One drive, Sharepoint)

In the same period, all mailboxes migrated from the .IT, FR, … extension to .COM for the entire Melchioni SPA group.

IT governance has also been standardized for the Melchioni Iberia and France offices, in order to have a single group infrastructure.

• Digital tools shared and in step with communication needs
• One-time updates for all infrastructure
• Greater security

Finally, the adaptation to the .com domain strengthens our image as a European player.

The project was presented in November 2022, the first works started immediately.

In March 2023 the activities for Italy were closed, followed by Iberia in April and France in June 2023. Dach is instead natively on board the infrastructure.
